Local InformationFollowing the May 2008 elections the new council agreed that the ‘hub’ of a prospective regional centre should have a higher profile and successfully transformed itself into a Town Council, which change was welcomed by MK Council and a number of colleague Town Councils within the borough. The Council has continued to champion the views of the residents, working with those new to Milton Keynes via the significant increase in residents the Council has seen in recent years. Central Milton Keynes Town Council boundaries have been the subject of much debate. Currently, the parish is defined as follows:-
From a point where Portway – H5 intersects with the West Coast Main Line, north east along Portway – H5 to Belvedere roundabout, then south along Marlborough Street – V8 to Springfield roundabout, then south west along Childs Way – H6 to a point where it meets the West Coast Main Line, then north west along the West Coast Main Line to Portway – H5.
